Overview
Chefchaouen needs no filter. Every wall, stair and doorway of its old town is washed in shades of blue — a tradition centuries old and a photographer's paradise at any hour.
Leaving Fes early, we cross the Rif foothills and arrive with the whole day to wander: the kasbah on Plaza Uta el-Hammam, the Ras el-Maa spring where locals cool their feet, and lane after cobalt lane of hidden corners. Lunch on a rooftop, shop the famous wool garments, and be back in Fes by night.
